Centurion Systems Ltd in the month of June held 2 PLC, VFDs and SCADA Students and Corporate Boot Camps on 11th of June and 18th June 2016. These are among the events organized by PLC Boot Camp in Centurion Systems Limited to promote the employability and innovation of engineering students by providing an overview of automation and mechatronics modules offered and also a brief of the different new technologies in the market today.
The boot camp Conducted on Saturdays, also provides a platform for students and corporates to interact and create networks that will boost their careers.
The boot camps involved training of students, recent graduates and corporates from different universities and industries in Kenya on PLCs, VSDs and SCADA with a total of 9 universities represented. Among these were Moi University, Kenyatta University, Kisii University, JKUAT, UON, Kabarak University among other Universities and Technical colleges. Among the companies represented were Simlaw Seeds, Rural Electrification Authority, Nairobi Bottlers Ltd., Power Group Technologies, Huawei Technologies, KENGEN, Dawa Limited, Kenya Power etc. The boot camps are always aimed at providing an overview of the courses offered at Centurion Systems Ltd. Those working with different companies also get an opportunity to interact with the various equipment that they interact with in the industry. The boot camp also provides a platform for the attendees to ask the centurion trainers questions regarding the challenges they are facing in the industries.
